Reflexology
Traditional Foot Reflexology
Reflexology is a deeply relaxing and restorative complementary therapy, based on the theory that the reflex points on either the feet, hands or face correspond to all internal organs and systems of the body.
When pressure is applied to these reflex points, it stimulates the movement of energy along the nerve channels, where there will be a response in the associated area. This process will kick-start the body’s natural healing ability; the flow of energy is revitalised, blockages are cleared, and balance is restored.
Where areas of an imbalance or congestion are felt, a longer time will be spent working over these reflexes to bring them back into balance. Reflexologists do not claim to diagnose or cure. However, reflexology is known to improve symptoms.
Whether you're young or old, reflexology has something to offer all clients. This is the perfect treatment and can help to:
Reduce the impact of stress and anxiety
Encourage deeper relaxation
Improve mood
Restore equilibrium through the body
Help in pain management
Be supportive in pregnancy / postnatal
Be supportive in menopause / peri-menopause
Help boost immunity
Help raise energy levels
Help with Digestive issues
Improve sleep patterns
Your body’s response to the treatment could be instantaneous; however, clients usually feel the full benefits after 4 - 6 sessions.
Facial Reflexology (60 minutes)
I have been fortunate to train with the award-winning Ziggie Bergman. This beautiful holistic treatment follows the same principles as traditional foot reflexology.
The face provides a beautiful and precise tool to read and respond to what’s going on within the body's internal organs, central nervous system and neurobiological systems in the same way feet do. The face is close to the brain and cranial nerves, making facial reflexology very powerful in impacting the body's systems.
Facial reflexology is a beautiful and deeply relaxing treatment which uses gentle pressure on the reflex points of the whole face. Crystals, organic oils and hot towels are also used and known for smoothing out those fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a more radiant and healthy complexion. This treatment is deeply relaxing and can also help to release emotions in the face and lift your mood.
To receive the maximum benefit for facial reflexology, it is recommended to undergo a minimum of 6 treatments; however, some clients have felt the benefits after just 1 or 2 treatments. Discounts will be available if you either book 6 or 12 altogether ( we can discuss this further if you wish)
Please note that if you have had Botox or fillers, a period of 3 weeks needs to elapse before having facial reflexology
More benefits to facial reflexology:
Improve circulation to the head and face area
Improve lymphatic drainage, which helps with toxin removal
Relieve tension in the facial muscles
Relieve mental strain and improve concentration
Help relieve sinus and congestion
Bring about general feelings of calmness and well-being
The Stress Buster (30-minute facial reflexology)
The Bergman method relieves stress and improves well-being. This treatment works on the 12 reflex points known to reduce stress and help with your well-being. This treatment is an alternative to a full facial reflexology for people who are limited by time and wish to take 30 minutes out of their day. A quick pick-me-up to unwind and de-stress.
Zone Lift Facial
The Ziggie Bergman method takes 10 years off your skin. The Zone Lift facial is an amazing anti-ageing holistic treatment designed to boost, lift and revitalise your face and neck to give you a healthy and radiant glow. The Sunday Express calls it the new spiritual facelift. It eliminates the need for Botox or dermal fillers.
The Zone Lift facial combines traditional facial reflexology methods and ancient healing techniques from Native American shamans, along with pressure point massage and sacred healing herbs. Crystal quartz spheres and non-invasive tools are used for their healing properties. Traditional Chinese healing gua sha crystals and rollers are used to lift and tighten the face and lift the spirit within.
The treatment can be taken as an individual treatment to revitalise the face. For best results, a course of 12 treatments is recommended. However, a 6-week programme is also available.
The effects and benefits of zone lift include:
Naturally stimulates collagen and elastin
Tightens, smooths, plumps and lifts the face, neck and jaw
Reduces dark circles and puffiness under the eye area
Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
Improves lymphatic drainage
Calming and relaxing

Relief from TMJ, Bell’s palsy, bruxism
All the health benefits of traditional reflexology
Maternity Reflexology
Maternity reflexology is a gentle, relaxing and supportive treatment for women during pregnancy, labour and the post-natal period. During pregnancy, a woman’s body experiences many emotional, hormonal and physical changes. Reflexology can help to prevent or alleviate discomfort arising from these imbalances and restore the body’s natural equilibrium. My aim is to support the mother through this transition. Research has shown regular reflexology can shorten the duration of labour, with women requiring less pain relief during the course of delivery.
Once you have reached 37 weeks, your reflexologist can start to help the mother's body prepare for labour.
During your treatment, you will be made comfortable at all times.
You will not be laid flat; you will be supported in a raised position with plenty of cushions and bolsters.
Key Benefits of Maternity Reflexology:
It relieves stress, anxiety and insomnia
It offers relief from morning sickness
It eases heartburn and constipation
It reduces oedema ( swelling of the feet and lower legs)
It can help with energy levels when you are fatigued
It offers physical relief, such as back pain and pelvic pain
Postnatal reflexology will aid recovery after birth, boost energy levels
Promote milk production
And provide much-needed relaxation
Baby & Child Reflexology
Gentle touch reflexology is a beautiful, comforting, effective therapy where a very light touch is applied to the child’s hands or feet. Children are very sensitive to reflexology and respond very well to it. And as such, every treatment has to be adapted to each individual. Reflexology can support children and parents through some unsettling periods. These gentle techniques help to soothe a baby or child with colic, teething or discomfort. Reflexology also helps with sleep issues, stress and anxiety.
Regular massage strengthens the special bond between parent and child. Benefits of baby and child reflexology:
Babies -
Reflexology can improve bonding between parents and babies, aid restful sleep, and boost their immune system. Particular reflexology can provide a drug-free approach to ease complaints such as:
Colic
Constipation
Reflux
Diarrhoea
Nasal congestion
Restlessness and sleep issues
Children, including teenagers -
Reflexology promotes communication and relationships between parent and their child. It can promote rest, improve concentration, self-confidence and self-esteem and can also help tackle conditions such as:
Headaches
Anxiety
Tummy aches
Sleep disturbances
Behavioural problems
If your child is unwell or you’re in doubt, always consult your GP before seeking alternative therapies.
Under 16s, a parent or guardian must be present during these sessions.
I also offer parent training sessions — teaching you simple reflexology techniques to use confidently on your own child at home. Available one-to-one, at Claygate clinic, or as a group session.
Hot Stone Reflexology
Hot stone reflexology incorporates the use of hot basalt stones within your foot reflexology treatment. This brings a warmth of added luxury to your treatment, which takes this treatment to another level.
The hot stones are placed on key reflex points on the feet, as well as massaging the stones on the lower legs. The hot stones penetrate 6 times deeper into the muscles, releasing tension and assisting in activating the energy channels.
Benefits of hot stone reflexology:
Heat encourages the muscles to relax further
Improved energy flow
Lowers cortisol levels
Improves blood circulation
Improves lymphatic drainage
Boosts the immune system
